The Bursar’s Office at Rensselaer exclusively uses eBilling
to distribute tuition bills. To ensure the timely and smooth
access of your bill, please review the following information
that will explain this exciting new service.
- eBill is an online presentation of your Rensselaer
student bill and uses a web-based presentation from Sallie
Mae to provide a secure access to student financial
records.
- An email notification is sent to each student’s
Rensselaer email address with instructions on how to enroll
in the eBill program. Once enrolled, the student may
designate additional users, usually a parent or guardian, to
enroll and also have access to their bills. Since eBills are
the only way to receive your bill, keep in mind that you must
enroll in the program.
-
It will remain the responsibility of the student
to check for the latest eBill and ensure that it is paid on
or before the due date. Students whose parents or guardians
do not have access to email are responsible for printing a
PDF copy of their bill and mailing it to their parents or
guardians.
- If you are a new incoming undergraduate student to
Rensselaer, you will receive your Rensselaer user name and
password (needed to access your RPI email account) in the
orientation confirmation packet sent by the Office of the
First-Year Experience. If you have questions, contact the
Office of the First-Year Experience at 518-276-6864. Please
also notify the Bursar’s Office if you have not received your
packet by July 1st so that we may further assist you.
- Each month, students will receive a courtesy e-mail sent
to their Rensselaer e-mail address indicating the eBill logon
link and the availability of that month's bill. The other
individuals designated by the student will also receive a
similar email indicating the link and the availability of the
bill.
- Rensselaer eBilling is reliable. No more delays in
receiving your bill due to processing or mailing time. Plus
you can view your bill and make payments, simply and
securely, from one website. Just follow the payment option
links on the bill. Each time an online payment is made, you
will receive a confirmation email for your records. If you
prefer to mail in your payment since paper bills will no
longer be mailed, just print the bill, keep the top portion
for your records and return the bottom portion along with
your payment to the Payment Processing Center. You will also
need to attach the payment coupon, a printable version of
which can be accessed by clicking the "Print Payment Coupon"
button at the bottom of your eBill.
- If you are enrolled in the TuitionPay monthly installment
plan, you must continue to make your payments directly to
TuitionPay.
- eBills are a snapshot in time and do not reflect any
activity (payments, credits, or adjustments) until the next
billing cycle. to view real time information, please log on
to the Student Information
System.
Students will receive an invitation email to their RPI email
address providing the link to enroll in eBilling.
