Compliance at RPI

The Compliance Office, part of the Division of Finance, supports the RPI community by coordinating efforts across the Institute to meet legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. We work closely with the Office of General Counsel and other campus partners to promote a culture of integrity and ethical conduct.

What We Do

We assist with drafting, revising, and maintaining Institute policies. The full policy library is available through the Office of General Counsel.

We coordinate with departments across campus, including Academic Affairs, Finance, HR, Athletics, Public Safety, Research, and more, to address compliance risks and share best practices.

We work closely with the Office of Risk Management and report regularly to the Board of Trustees’ Audit Committee.

Compliance Committee

The Compliance Committee brings together representatives from across the Institute to encourage open dialogue and proactive management of compliance issues. Members include:

General Counsel, Human Resources, Academic Affairs, Athletics, Public Safety, Finance, Environmental Health & Safety, Research, DotCIO, Health and Counseling, Disability Services, Financial Aid, Registrar, Admissions, Institutional Advancement, Government Relations, and Risk Management.

Compliance Newsletter

Our newsletter highlights current compliance topics and updates. (link to latest issue coming soon)

Reporting Concerns

If you have a compliance concern, you can contact the Compliance Officer directly or use one of the campus’s reporting mechanisms (coming soon).

We are committed to protecting individuals who report concerns in good faith from retaliation. All reports are handled confidentially and professionally.
