The campus Budget Office reports to the Assistant Vice President for Financial Planning and Services. It is responsible for managing the budgetary resources of the Rensselaer campus by providing accurate, timely, and meaningful budget and financial information to University and campus management.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Budget Office is to report, monitor, and facilitate decision-making on the uses of Rensselaer's operating resources, with the goal being that all resources are to be deployed efficiently and effectively to maximize the success of the strategic plan, the Rensselaer Plan. The Finance Portfolio's mission is to enable Rensselaer to achieve its goal of being a world-class technological research university with global reach and global impact by maximizing resource utilization and protection of Institute assets.
Responsibilities and activities undertaken to support the Mission include the coordination of the campus operating and capital budget, as well as the coordination of financial management policies, standards, and training.
